Reduta Spring Concert Series

Spring has only just begun in Reduta. Before there was the young talents competition CZECH JAZZ CONTEST 2013, then 10 EVENINGS OF TRADITIONAL JAZZ AND SWING and now next in turn is REDUTA SPRING CONCERT SERIES which carries the international stars spirit. The headliner of the whole event undoubtedly is an American singer SARAH TOLAR who will visit Prague during her European tour. This talented musician from overseas country has cooperated with such music stars as Cassandra Wilson, Diana Krall, Natasha Beningfield, Jennifer Hudson, Harry Connick Jr. and The Duke Ellington Orchestra. During last week event Reduta Spring Concert Series represented two foreign performers. One of them, the native of Tobago and Trinidad land, a fabulous multi-instrumentalist LESTER JACKMAN who brought the audience to their feet mostly with the performance on his favourite Steel Drums. The other drawing card was the weekend concert of the rising German star NICOLE JOHÄNNTGEN and her band. Nicole’s performance on the saxophone was so astonishing and enchanting that it kept the audience glued to their chairs until it burst out with thunderous applause. However, the amount of good music does not end on that. On the 22th of April is to perform the international band LUBOŠ SOUKUP INTERNATIONAL QUARTET which is known for their looking for new musical components and the renunciation of music cliché. Next to come into view of the audience is Slovenian AMC TRIO accompanied by Randy Becker, Grammy Award-winning trumpeter. The April part of Reduta Spring Concert Series will be crowned with ONDŘEJ ŠTVERÁČEK QUARTET accompanied by American pianist BRIANA CHARETTA who was nominated for Grammy. The audience can look forward to a great cultural program that will be performed by czech and foreign artists. The concerts usually begin at 21:30, the spectators with reservations have preference.
