New Town Summer Festival 2013

For the first year, the festival organizers got the idea and inspiration from jazz music while the second year was influenced by folklore. This time, however, the festival’s focus is shifting to dance rhythms wherein the concerts will feature melodies inspired by dance in addition to pure dance melodies. The concerts are themed to different eras and territories such as Baroque, 19th century and contemporary music from Central Europe, Southern Europe and South America. It is expected that top Czech musicians and dancers will attend the event held under the auspices of the Mayor of Prague 2, Jany Černochové.
